Biography

Face The King is an independent alternative hard rock band based out of New York that has redefined the local rock scene with their arena size sound, both live and on record. In the four years that Face The King has been together, they have compiled a list of support from sponsors DBZ Guitars, Ernie Ball, VOX, Blackstar, Aguilar, Korg, Lag Guitars, Spector, Pigtronix, Behringer, SIT Strings, Source Audio, In Tune Guitar Picks, and Visual Sound. These high-powered sponsors have so far aided Face The King tremendously throughout their career, including yearly trips and performances at the NAMM Convention in Anaheim, California.

Face The King is Eric Zirlinger (vocals, guitar, keyboards), Dan DelVecchio (lead guitar, keyboards, backup vocals), Joey Dammacco (bass, synth, backup vocals), and Randy Palumbo (drums, percussion). Their second EP release, “The Burning & The Falling Down,” produced by Steve Haigler (Brand New, The Pixies, Fuel) had received critical praise and glowing reviews in print, on the web, and local/out of state radio. With the additional help of their continuously growing loyal fanbase, Face The King was proudly pronounced the "Best Band of Long Island," by Long Island Press Magazine 2013. Being 3 time winners of the Ernie Ball Battle of the Bands has also put them on the map, with appearances at the Rockstar UPROAR Festival and Vans Warped Tour 2012-2014 (w/Staind, Shinedown, Godsmack, New Found Glory, Yellowcard, Finch, & more). For their most recent entry, they were selected as one of four national finalists out of 20,000 competitors to compete at the House of Blues in Hollywood, California. As a result they were also chosen to join Warped Tour for 7 dates this summer.

With their newly released single, "The Sea," with platinum producer Rob Freeman (Gym Class Heroes) already receiving high praise in anticipation for their next record, Face The King is touring the New York tri-state area and beyond. They are readying themselves for an incredibly busy summer for 2014 full of new releases, touring and showcasing. Believing that the live show is an experience that is shared between the band and the audience, Face The King is earning a reputation as a band you need to experience live. Face The King is not waiting for a label to hand them a deal – they are earning it the way it was meant to be earned: by hitting the road and making new fans.
